D. Saunders is an extraordinary singer, songwriter, and performer who has captivated audiences with his soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and electrifying stage presence. He discovered his passion for music at a young age and has since become a music lovers fan favorite.

Saunders was raised in Chesapeake, Virginia but resides in Biloxi, Mississippi.  As a kid, he began singing in the church choir where his father was the organist.  It was evident as a child that D. Saunders possessed an exceptional talent. His rich tone and impeccable control allowed him to effortlessly convey a wide range of vocals, leaving listeners in awe. Recognizing his gift, D. Saunders began honing his craft by learning to play multiple instruments, writing songs, and exploring various musical genres to develop his unique style.

After graduating high school D. Saunders decided to serve his country by joining the U.S. Air Force.  While in the military fellow airmen discovered his singing abilities and he was given the opportunity to travel the world to perform for other soldiers.  Some of the places he’s performed include Japan, Guam, and The Philippines just to name a few.

Drawing inspiration from musical legends such as Stevie Wonder, Philippe Wynne and Sam Cooke, D. Saunders infuses his music with a timeless quality that captivates audiences of all generations. His music is described as soulful R&B combined with smooth melodies with a blend of old-school charm.

Saunders dove into the music scene with his debut album, “The New Old School.” It showcased his versatility as a vocalist and songwriter.  Some of his most notable songs from that album include “Move”, “Step With Me”, and “I Need No Other Lover”.

Since the release of his debut album, D. Saunders has continued to build on his success with follow-up albums, “Who Is D. Saunders The Gentleman of Soul”, which features 19 southern soul tracks, and “Let Me Sing to You” a beautiful ballads only album.  Whether performing in small intimate settings or on the big stage, D. Saunders has a remarkable ability to connect with his audience and keep their attention throughout each performance, through the power of music.

Saunders has collaborated with a diverse range of artists and producers, further expanding his musical horizons. His collaborations have showcased his versatility, as he effortlessly adapts to different styles and genres, lending his soulful vocals to various projects. D. Saunders brings a level of artistry to music that is undeniable.
